KMAfrica's strategic goals include

Enhance the implementation of knowledge management in Africa.
Leverage the use of knowledge in policy and service delivery.
Promote partnerships among the public sector, private sector, and civil society in the creation, synthesis and use of knowledge.
Build knowledge management networks that will enable the creation and utilisation of knowledge.
Build an institutional infrastructure that will facilitate the implementation of the knowledge management mandate across Africa.

The Mandate of KMAfrica

Mobilize stakeholder buy-in;
create partnerships for knowledge management;
establish KM platforms and regional chapters;
build an institutional framework for KMAfrica; and,
identify and implement KM projects and programmes at country and regional chapter level.

KMAfrica KnowledgeHub provides Africa's Knowledge community with radically new ways to participate. KnowledgeHub delivers a mix of forums, resources and conference papers that encourage participation in complex conversations while stimulating stronger connections and networks. The topics and resources represent a range of cross-cutting knowledge and insight that evoke the appropriate action that transforms vision into reality.

KnowledgeHub is designed to provide much of what you'd find at a live KMAfrica conference including formal papers, special interest Groups (SIGs), resources and informal conversations between sessions. KnowledgeHub is a community platform for knowledge creators in African colleges and universities to role-model knowledge sharing using social media. There is know-how that helps expand the role of libraries in communities and KM professionals can keep current with a network of consultants and academics. Knowledge entrepreneurs will find useful know-how and ideas and like minds with whom to share useful ideas. It is through growing connections that communities emerge that make innovation and breakthrough possible.
